| .:Be Kind:. It is important to treat others well here. It is nearly the only reason we will ban someone from the site. Characters can be evil and do evil things, but you must be kind to people who are playing these characters. It is understandable that not everyone will get along. Just avoid those you do not like and things will go along smoothly. |
| .:Get Approved:. Fate is a very open system, to ensure we don't have a bunch of gods stomping around, your character and abilities will have to be approved. Any Moderator or Admin can approve your ideas. Helpers specific to the setting can also approve you. If you think it is taking too long to get approved, simply message one of us or speak up in the Shoutbox at the bottom of every page. |
| .:Consent is Important:. Those who are running the thread has the ability to do a number of things to your character. They need to, however, check with the others and use good judgement when compelling a character to do something. Completely controlling someone's character is not what we want to see, but activating aspects of a character that could work negatively is important for interesting story. You are not, however, allowed to kill off a character, do something that will cause permanent damage, or alter a character without the owner's permission. There are things in place that you can use to quickly check with the owner of the character if it is alright to do something "iffy." |
| .:Staff is King:. Staff has the final say in disputes and issues. If they ask or tell you that something is not ok, you are welcome to discuss it. When they have made a final decision, you need to respect it. Staff here is chosen out of merit not favoritism. Trust that their choice is made for the betterment of the site. There is a line of command. Admin > Moderator > Helper > Member. |
